Our Vision

St Louis is a Parish Primary School committed to developing gospel and secular values and an understanding of Catholic faith and doctrine. We strive to make faith real in the world by supporting students to grow individually in relationship with Jesus Christ and to develop to their full potential as active and participating members of the faith community.

St Louis is a vibrant and dynamic learning community, with a strong emphasis on developing social and emotional competencies and capabilities. We are committed to maximising student engagement with a strong emphasis on providing opportunities for all learners. Our staff endeavour to encourage life long learning and to sustain the development of knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that will promote a strong sense of belonging, participation and responsible contribution to society. We encourage students to develop a confident, optimistic and positive attitude in order to achieve success in all areas of personal and social learning. We strive to provide a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum facilitated by professional learning teams committed to the pursuit of teaching excellence.

We aim to provide all students with a friendly, caring, supportive, productive and safe environment which promotes independence, interdependence and self motivation so that they feel connected to school. We endeavour to cater for student’s individual needs, learning styles, backgrounds, perspectives and interests, providing frequent constructive feedback, in order to develop deep levels of thinking and application and allow all students to achieve success.

We undertake to promote consultative and shared leadership and empower staff to take full responsibility and ownership for the direction of the school. We have a commitment to effective teamwork and providing appropriate facilities and resources to support high quality teaching and learning.
