St Louis de Montfort's Parish School is situated on the Mornington Peninsula. The school is on an 8.5 acre site, approximately 1.2km from Aspendale railway station on the Frankston line. The school is within a kilometre of the beach and is only 2km from Mordialloc. At the rear of the school is a council provided bicycle path and a secondary drain, which leads to the Edithvale Wetlands. Significant new housing has been developed in Aspendale Gardens on the far side of the secondary drain. This area is linked to the school by footbridges. Road access is via Mordialloc or Edithvale.

Sacramental programs are central to the existence of our school. Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation are all whole school celebrations and also provide opportunity for families to reflect upon their faith development. Family nights are run prior to the celebration of the Sacraments to bring families together to discuss the significance of the Sacrament in their lives.

St Louis is proud to be one of only 101 KidsMatter schools in Australia. KidsMatter is a mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention initiative for primary schools. This initiative focuses on promoting a positive school community, implementing social and emotional learning skills for students, parenting support and education, and early intervention for students experiencing mental health difficulties.

St Louis de Montfort's Parish was founded in the late 1950's. The school first began with 85 children in classes from prep to grade 2 before eventually growing to it's current structure of prep to grade 6. Currently the school has an enrolment of 638 students.

The current structure of the school comprises 24 classes of which 17 are straight and 6 are mixed-age with an average of 28 students per class.

St Louis has seven permanent classrooms, a library, staffroom, teacher workroom, administration area and three offices for specialist staff contained within the core building of the school. A corridor connects these areas to the canteen, Parish Offices and Church. The Church is a multi-purpose facility, which is also used as a hall.

In addition to the main building , St Louis has a pre-fabricated modular classroom block housing 4 classrooms and a multi-purpose room and 15 relocatable classrooms housing 13 classes and a large Art room.

All of these buildings, including the student amenities block, uniform shop and cleaners store are linked by corridors and covered walkways.

One of the features of St Louis school is the spacious and well maintained playground which includes a large asphalt area including two basketball/netball courts, a junior and senior adventure playground, a football and soccer oval and extensive undercover areas for passive recreation.

The school provides a dynamic sense of community and fosters a welcoming , family atmosphere. St Louis de Montfort's has a very strong parent group who are vital to the sense of belonging in the school. Parents are welcome to participate in all aspects of the school with the main support coming through Parent and Friends, the Parish Education Advisory Board, Working Bees and individual contributions in the classrooms, on excursions or for special school events.
